Symbolic Music Generation Submission Guidelines

Welcome to the Submission Portal of Symbolic Music Generation!

• Please read the wiki page carefully before submission.
• Please use this forum for project-related discussions and submission.
• There are four submission stages. For each submission stage, the submission method is different. Check the details below.

Test set submission (Oct 8, 2024)

• Each team submits two lead sheets in json format. The genre is Western Pop.
• We encourage the submitted lead sheet to contain complete phrases.
• Note: there should be nine measures, and the first measure is either blank or the pick-up measure.
• Email to ziyu.wang<at>nyu.edu. Do NOT submit them in the public chat because the test set should be invisible to others!

Main algorithm submission (Oct 15, 2024)

• Please build a docker image and upload it to one of the following places:
  • Docker Hub
  • Github Container Registry
  • Google Drive
• Please copy and paste the repository link (or Google Drive shared link) in the field “Submission Link (Docker Images / Inference Results).”
• For private repositories, please add “FutureMIREX” (Docker Hub) or “futuremirex” (github) as a collaborator before you submit.
• Check the general guidelines and tutorials for docker submission here.
• Results will be returned via email on Oct 22, 2024.

Generated Sample Selection (Oct 25, 2024)

• Submit one file index per lead sheet. New generated samples are not accepted.
• Email to ziyu.wang<at>nyu.edu.

Online subjective evaluation (Oct 31 – Nov 3, 2024)

• Click the online survey link and finish the survey.
